Malaysia–Bangladesh Strengthen Labour Cooperation — Bilateral Agreements and Recruitment Frameworks

Malaysia and Bangladesh continue to deepen their bilateral cooperation, including agreements touching on labour migration, skills exchange, and worker recruitment frameworks. During the 12 August 2025 leadership meeting, both countries agreed on strengthening collaboration across trade, manpower, training, and labour mobility sectors, including provisions for improved recruitment processes for Bangladeshi workers entering Malaysia.

Bangladesh remains one of Malaysia’s largest sources of foreign workers.
